Jerry Dixon

Jerry Dixon is an American musician best known as the bassist for the rock band Warrant, which gained prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Warrant is primarily associated with the glam metal genre, characterized by its catchy hooks, glam-influenced aesthetics, and party-centric themes. Dixon joined Warrant in 1984, and the band achieved significant success with their debut album, "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich" (1989), which included hits like "Heaven" and "Down Boys." Their follow-up album, "Cherry Pie" (1990), solidified their status in the rock scene, featuring the iconic title track and other popular songs such as "I Saw Red." Dixon’s contributions as a bassist and songwriter were crucial to the band’s signature sound, blending hard rock with melodic elements. Although the peak of Warrant's popularity waned with the rise of grunge in the mid-1990s, the band maintained a dedicated fan base and continued to tour and release music. Dixon's work with Warrant has left a lasting impact on the glam metal genre, influencing many bands that followed and maintaining a nostalgic appeal for fans of the era.
